Benny Hester
Benny...
Many people know Benny Hester thanks to his successful career as a contemporary Christian artist and television producer of the Nickelodeon/MTV Networks series, Roundhouse. However, before all of that he was just a young songwriter kicking around Las Vegas. It was there that Benny met Brent Maher, a young engineer & producer at United Recording, who would later be awarded six Grammys. The two became fast friends in the early ‘70s and recorded what would be Benny’s very first album using Elvis Presley’s TCB Band made up of Ron Tutt, James Burton, Glen Hardin and Jerry Scheff, as well as Larry Muhoberac and Joe Osborn. Benny is a musical gem. Songs like “Give Your Love Forever” and “No The End Is Not Near” call to mind The Beatles Revolver, ELO and Nilsson.
